Green Split Pea Soup

green split peas
1.75 cups
6.25 cups
vegetable bouillon
5 cubes
seasoning salt
1/2 tsp
1/8 tsp
a large pinch
dried basil leaves
a large pinch
dried marjoram leaves
a large pinch
dried thyme leaves
a large pinch
a pinch
celery finely chopped
1/4 cup
onion finely chopped
1 small (4 oz / 120 g)
carrot finely chopped
1 small (4 oz / 120 g)
green pepper de-seeded and finely chopped
1/2 medium (2 oz / 60 g)


Recipe can be reduced to one-half by reducing all ingredients proportionately. Put all ingredients except celery, onion, carrot and green pepper in cooker. Stir. Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 12 minutes. Remove cooker from heat. Allow to cool naturally. Open cooker. Add remaining ingredients. Place cooker on medium heat. Boil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
